Well-behaved dogs are allowed, but not encouraged. A $250 refundable damage/cleaning deposit is requested if you decide to bring yours along.

A NOTE ABOUT WATER CONSERVATION As you may know, Hornby Island is a Water Conservation Zone. This means that all residents voluntarily do their utmost to conserve our precious and limited water resources. Hornby is quite arid in the summer, and water can be in very short supply. There was insufficient rain this last winter, which means we are in a drought condition. As with many homes on the island, the water for Arbutus House comes from a well shared with a neighbor. In the summer months, the well can run dry if strict water conservation is not practiced. Please help out by limiting your water use.

LINENS & TOWELS
We provide blankets,
comforters with comforter covers, pillows and pillowcases. To conserve water,
we prefer that you bring your own towels and sheets, and wash them when you get
home. If it’s inconvenient for you to do this, you may use our towels &
sheets for an extra charge — $10 for each set of towels and $10 for each
set of sheets.
